SEPTEMBER weekend workshop // Improvers: teapots, jugs and cups

This is a weekend throwing workshop, suitable for those who have done a beginners course and can centre clay, throw a cylinder and trim pots.

***This course is not suitable for complete beginners***

Dates & Times of classes:

SATURDAY 19TH SEPT: 12pm - 4pm
SUNDAY 20TH SEPT: 12pm - 4pm

Provisional glazing class date: SUNDAY 11TH OCT: 2pm - 4pm

Cost: £250 pp

Class numbers will be small (no more than 7 people).

What we'll cover across the weekend

Day one: We will focus on throwing the component parts for our tea (or coffee) pots and if time allows we will also explore jugs and throw up to two cup bodies.

Day two: We will trim and tidy our component pieces and assemble the tea (or coffee) pots and explore different ways of making handles for our tea pots, jugs and cups.

Glazing session: Glazing of our bisque fired pots.

The maximum amount of pots to be fired for this course are as follows:

1 teapot
2 cups
1 jug

The exact amount of pieces will depend on the speed you are working at to complete your projects.

Finished pots will be ready for collection approximately 2-3 weeks after the end of the course. I will email you when they are ready.

The cost of the course is: £250 per person payable at the time of booking.

Cancellations:

When you book on the course please ensure you can attend the whole weekend.

If you need to cancel the lesson block once full payment has been made we will try and fill the space. If we can re-fill the space you will be issued a voucher, which can be used within the year for booking onto a future block of lessons. If we cannot fill the space we will not be able to offer you a refund.
